Why Your Participation Matters
A practice analysis study is a comprehensive research project to identify and validate the key knowledge, skills, and tasks required for competent performance in a specific profession or job role. It’s essential for maintaining the relevance and validity of professional certifications and examinations.
Every few years, IIBA conducts a practice analysis study to keep our certification exams in line with industry guidelines such as ISO/IEC 17024 (which provides a global benchmark for personnel certification bodies) and the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
This important work ensures our certifications reflect the latest industry standards and practices.
What the Study Involves
The study aims to define the competencies required for early-career business analysis professionals. By participating in this survey, you’ll provide valuable insights that will help us update the ECBA exam and blueprint, which outlines the structure and content areas covered in the certification exam.
Your feedback will ensure the certification accurately reflects the skills and knowledge needed in today’s business analysis landscape.
How to Participate
We’re seeking input from the broader business analysis community. We encourage all practitioners to participate. Your contribution to the survey is critical to identifying the activities, knowledge, and skills needed by early-career business analysis professionals. The survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete and will close on September 6.
